Alfred Garciga was born in Havana Cuba and migrated to the United States in 1969. He was
raised in Glendale and attended the Glendale schools; Columbus Elementary School, Wilson Junior High, and Hoover High School, class of 81. He began his employment with GYA in 1999 and oversees the field operations of the Glendale Youth Employment Partnership Program. Alfred has three boys and a granddaughter-Alice. He also has four dogs-Lexi, Lola, Penny, and Rita. Alfred loves traveling, skiing, playing softball and hiking in the local mountains
and anywhere he travels. He is a huge Dodger’s fan.
He has a big heart and is a father figure to the youth of the program.
