Glendale Youth Alliance 2007 Catch A Wave To Success Luncheon & Award Ceremony

The Glendale Youth Alliance held its 14th Annual “Catch A Wave To Success” Luncheon and Award Ceremony on August 22nd 2007 at the Civic Auditorium, in Glendale. Over 550 guests, students and community partners attended the Luncheon and contributed to the success of the event. We were fortunate to have Principal Kevin Welsh, Principal of Hoover High School as the Master of Ceremonies and many community leaders present.

Glendale Youth Alliance honored the following community partners and individuals for their ongoing support and commitment to the youth of our community and the organization.

Glendale Youth Alliance recognized the “Outstanding Youth Workers of the Year” and granted seventeen graduating seniors with scholarships to continue their education. Scholarships were available thanks to the contributions of the Gas Company, Armenian American Chamber of Commerce, Fiscal Credit Union, Kaiser Permanente and a special thanks to Glendale memorial Hospital.

2005"Focus on Youth" Pancake Breakfast

The fifth annual "Focus on Youth" Pancake Breakfast was held on November 5, 2006. GYA raffled off a Harley-Davidson Sportster motorcycle generously donated by Harley-Davidson of Glendale, and everyone had fun eating delicious pancakes prepared by the Glendale Sunrise Rotary Club. Through sponsorships and ticket sales, the event raised over $14,906.
